The Champions Project
The Champions Project was conceived by At The Races to raise money for the Sir Peter OSullevan Charitable Trust. The project worked as follows:
Photographs of all living Champion National Hunt and Flat jockeys and trainers were taken. Then a limited run of prints were individually signed by the jockeys and trainers. A second run of reproduced signature prints were also produced.
The prints were marketed on national television and in the press so consequently there was a requirement for a company to efficiently carry out the order processing and fulfilment.
Curwood CMS were appointed because we were able to provide a comprehensive service for this project.
We developed and provided the following services:
- Setting up an online shop for customers to view the products and place orders.
- Processing online and telephone orders.
- Packing and dispatching orders.
- Providing customer care by telephone, email and post.
The project has been a great success and has already raised a significant amount of money for charity.
Kent Book Company Limited
The Kent Book Company are the leading schools and library supplier of books in the South East of England. They regularly mail newsletters and offers to their customers and prospects.
A two page stapled newsletter needed to be sent to a list of 8,000 companies.
The initial brief was to enclose the newsletters into C4 envelopes and attach labels.
Curwood CMS were able to offer advice that lead to significant savings in both fulfilment and postage costs:
- The database was sorted into mailsort 120 sequence.
- A personalised letter was printed and together with the newsletter folded and inserted into C5 window envelopes.
The result was the postage for each item was reduced from 36p to 18.23p, making a total saving of £1421.60. The envelopes were significantly cheaper making further savings for the client.
